We currently have an exciting opportunity for a passionate Senior Test Automation Engineer to represent Revolution IT on high profile projects with our major clients. The successful applicant will demonstrate strong project experience of at least 5 years in Test Automation using a variety of .net programming languages coupled with Gherkin, Specflow, Cucumber. A background in development is highly desirable but not essential as long as your coding skills are strong. 

This is a rather unique opportunity that would suited an experienced Automation Test Engineers with a strong grasp on C#. We are looking for Test Professionals with a versatile approach, demonstrating a consulting mentality in order to work with a variety of teams and stakeholders in a challenging project environment. You will be proactive with a positive attitude and exceptional communication skills. You will also have the opportunity to impart knowledge to our more inexperienced staff members to help build the collective capability of our community. 

Role requirement:

• Confident in setting up Automation Test Frameworks (must be confident in coding and scripting in C#).
• Perform automation testing on different devices, web apps etc.
• API testing experience.  
• Attend and actively participate in daily stand-ups, and conduct estimations of stories for each sprint.
• Attend and contribute to technical and spec design reviews.
• Execute end to end automation test cases, track results, and log defects.
• Providing thought leadership in test automation/TestOps.
• Must have experience with Gherkin, Specflow, and Cucumber
• Must have Agile testing experience 

Role Deliverables: 

• Developing, maintaining, and improving automation frameworks.
• Developing and executing Automation Test Plan
• Building of Automation Scripts
• Setting up the Test Data
• Execution of Automation Scripts
• Completion report
• Delivering training to staff (formal and informal)

Essential Skills

• Background as a C# Developer, or strong C# development skills.
• At least 5 dedicated years of test automation experience, setting up and/or maintaining and improving automation frameworks. 
• Proficient and experienced in the use of Selenium Web Driver.
• Experience in Web Services and Rest API automation.
• Good understanding of BDD and TDD frameworks.
• Experienced in writing automation scripts.
• Experience in testing in environments that adopt an Agile development methodologies. 
• Experienced with Gherkin and Specflow.
