Think Talent now have a brand new opportunity for a talented Systems Engineer SME role based in Melbourne CBD - (must have a proven history and strong grasp of Exchange/AD/SCCM/PowerShell/Azure/Office365), in addition, the following skillsets required.

• Be the SME for core Enterprise Systems platforms (Exchange, AD, Azure, Office365)
• Work as part of the Infrastructure team to resolve incidents and fulfil service requests as part of BAU support
• Install, configure and maintain core enterprise systems according to best practice
• Adherence to all legislative and regulatory requirements
• Plan and execute migrations, develop ongoing maintenance regimes, performance tuning, disaster recovery & general troubleshooting
• Develop, implement and maintain suitable monitoring solutions for the platforms
• Develop, implement and maintain capacity and resource plans
• Develop and produce regularised reports on system health, capacity, growth trends and utilisation
• Create and maintain SOE and process documentation for hosts
• Work to streamline support and maintenance processes for standardised operating environments
• Investigate complex problems and form releases to remove known errors
• Identify technology trends and advise on courses of action to address issues and future requirements
• Manage and maintain server operating environments Windows 2008 R2/2012/2016, Exchange 2010/2016, Skype for Business 2015 and Active Directory
• Liaise with the manager to determine the urgency, priority, and resources required to satisfy priorities and requests
• Liaise with external providers where necessary to identify, report and resolve issues with the environment
• Monitor and report on the performance of maintenance and services provided by external vendors
• Work as part of an out of hours on-call roster

• Extensive experience in the management, configuration, administration and tuning of Exchange 2010/2016 and Skype for Business in an enterprise environment (5+ Years)
• Experience with Windows Server Operating Systems including 2008 R2/2012/2016 and Windows desktop operating systems (10+ years)
• Experience with Citrix Xenapp/XenServer/XenDesktop, Microsoft Terminal Services preferred
• Extensive scripting abilities in PowerShell (5+ years)
• Experience with IP Networking configuration (5+ years)
• Experience with Systems Management solutions (5+ years)
• Extensive experience with technical architecture and technical support documentation
• Proven experience in leading complex defect troubleshooting and resolution
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in an enterprise Windows system administration role (>1000 users)
• MCSE in Productivity or Messaging preferred, MSCA in Windows Server 2012 or 2016 considered
• Extensive skills and experience with Active Directory, Clustering and related concepts
• Ability to collect, analyse and present workplace data and information
• Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of management and staff (verbal and written)
• Ability to follow occupational health, safety and environmental procedures in this industry
• Ability to identify customer specifications and requirements
• Ability to manage, use and maintain administrative systems
• Ability to schedule work priorities to ensure deadlines are strictly adhered to.
