Your Role
Working as part of a small and effective QA team and reporting to the Test Lead, this role will work closely with a variety of stakeholders across the Minetec business to ensure validation of system functionality.
Liaising with Software Team Leads, Test Lead and Project Managers, you will be responsible to conduct and document test and integration strategy, for both functional and nonfunctional requirements.
Through the execution of testing you will identify issues, ensuring adherence to Operating and Quality standards. You will lead communication of issues raised, and liaise with software and test team members to work issues through to resolution.
Key Requirements
Degree qualified in Electronic, Computer Systems or Software Engineering, you will demonstrate at least 3 years’ experience in system testing or a related test role, with a strong working knowledge of software test tools and techniques.
You will demonstrate a capacity to collaborate across a broad range of groups, and a proven record for driving a focus of quality through your stakeholder groups.
Your technical experience will include C++ Unix Scripting languages, Networking (Wireless) and Electronics. Ideally you will also bring experience with:
- Tool building and scripting languages i.e. Python
- UI testing i.e. Soap UI etc.
- Familiarity with JSON and REST API validations
- Various RDBMs including Postgres and SQL Server
- Demonstrated experience with testing methodologies and processes
- documentation preparation and traceability,
- exploratory testing and test design
- developing and evolving test strategies and plans
- Linus and android platforms
- Agile principles
- Issue management tools i.e. JIRA
Surface or underground mine experience, working with mining technology and experience in testing computer networks will be highly regarded.
