Our client is a world leader in network infrastructure and services. They require an experienced Network Engineer to join their High Touch Engineering Team to work directly with an SP client as their technical advocate.


In this role your main responsibility is to help customers maximise network availability and functionality to achieve their business goals. You will deliver the technologies, solutions and services that customers need to expertly manage their networks.
You will need to develop a detailed knowledge of your customer’s network, critical sites, operating procedures and provide escalation support for critical network outages and complex network issues.


Typically this is a fast-paced, high-impact environment and as a visible contributor delivering on commitments you need to be a creative problem solver, with the ability to rapidly respond to escalated issues. You will need to be someone who possesses patience, empathy for customers and the wish to hone skills whilst providing customer value.


Ideally you will hold a relevant tertiary qualification and a Cisco certification (ideally CCIE) and be an expert in  Cisco Routing and Switching technologies. This role has an emphasis on Network Automation and Orchestration skills, so ideally you will have worked in this area already and may have some exposure to products such as NSO and WAE. Programming (development) experience in Java and Python including API programming would be an advantage. We do not expect you to know or have experience with all the above technologies.


You also need to have excellent troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills gained in a Service provider network environment. You must have strong customer facing skills and a commitment to the delivery of quality network support. Ideally you will have incident management, technical leadership and customer consulting experience gained from past roles.

This is a role for a candidate who has excellent troubleshooting, problem solving  and network engineering skills and who also wants to learn new technologies. On offer is an initial 12 month contract with expected extensions, as well as the chance to work, learn and contribute in a world leading vendor.
