Managed Information Systems Level 2 Voice and Data Network Engineer
Your focus in this role will be providing day to day support for internal and external clients remotely with the requirement for onsite and project work.
The role will involve:
- Provide level 2 technical support for clients and internal staff regarding Information Systems (on-premise and hosted) which includes rectifying all level 2 customer voice and data technical support issues (remedial or add, move and change);
- Triage support issues, resolve or escalate as required for routers, switchs, WAP and IP phones within our Hosted Voice Platforms (3CX/Broadsoft);
- Capable of installing network equipment, provide support for solution design, monitoring and maintaining network and voice platforms using internal management tools when required;
- Covers an extensive area will mean regular traveling throughout Brisbane and the Gold Coast;
- Undertake relevant training on new products/solutions to ensure service provided is current;
- Ensure internal monitoring systems are online and optimized;
- Liaise with different departments within the organization for different matters.
This role will also require some administration and coordination duties.
Skills, knowledge, and experience required:
- Great client focus on troubleshooting skills and perseverance to resolve technical problems. The position will require communication and liaison with subject matter experts in the planning, implementation, cutover, documentation and ongoing support.
- Team skills to work and communicate with other members;
- Working Knowledge of IP technologies from data communication, MPLS, and VPN to specific telephony knowledge of SIP protocol, trunking, and call routing;
- Industry certification or validated experience highly regarded for (3CX/Microsoft/Broadsoft/Cisco/Fortinet/Ruckus);
- Microsoft Server OS (W2K8, W2K12, W2K16);
- Networking certification or knowledge;
- Excellent communication, interpersonal skills, documentation, and mentoring skills
