Our client is a not for profit with a mission to deliver improvement to its industry through innovative systems and solutions. With important projects in the pipeline, an opportunity has emerged for technical support officer to provide quality support and potentially join the organisation on a permanent basis.

Support will be specific to users of an eLearning platform via phone/email, and will attend to all of its related matters. The successful candidate will understand components around its administration, development and training.

Your duties will entail:

  • Manage all technical aspects of the WordPress Learning Management System (LMS)
  • Investigate, diagnose, troubleshoot and resolve any issues with the online platform and different elements of the training modules (content, resources, facilitator forum, etc.)
  • Upgrade systems and processes as required for enhanced functionality and security issue resolution
  • Extract, clean and analyse platform data as required
  • Monitor and provide reports on platform metrics to support education and training project targets
  • Work with the Education and Training and IT team to provide innovative solutions to enhance platform components and functioning
  • Conduct briefings and demonstrations for users and internal team to enhance system productivity
  • Assist in the development of training coursework and materials
  • Complete special projects as requested.

To succeed you will possess the following:

  • Extensive experience in the development and management of WordPress websites
  • Ability to work effectively with a range of stakeholders and internal team members to deliver high quality solutions to support education and training projects
  • Expertise in eLearning tools and technologies, including Articulate Rise and SCORM
  • Good understanding of front-end technologies, including HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery
  • Experience in system administration
  • Expertise in the following areas would be highly regarded, but not essential:
    • PHP back-end development, including WordPress plugin development
    • WordPress hosting management (MySQL, Apache)
    • Amazon Web Services
    • Video editing
    • Adobe suite
    • Production of simple animations
  • Demonstrated communication, interpersonal, organisational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
