We are currently seeking to appoint a Solution Architect into a permanent ongoing role in Geelong CBD.

Your new role
In this role, you will be responsible for managing the organisations technical architecture and alignment with business direction, best practice, industry standards and emerging technology trends.

You will define the future technical direction across all domains including data, application, integrations and infrastructure whilst also leading and driving a maturity uplift in architecture governance.

Key parts of your role will include:

• Translate business requirements and architecture strategy into appropriate solution design/s that meet business needs
• Ensure the data, application, integration and infrastructure architecture aligns with business goals and IT strategy
• Liaise with technical SMEs from IT operations and development areas to inform solution architecture
• Ensure quality of implementation and adherence to design with internal staff and vendors
• Provide solution consultation and problem solving to design implementers
• Facilitate production of high level design documentation of solutions covering functionality, data, security, integration, resource, infrastructure, finance and performance aspects
• Analyse future business needs and trends to determine IT capacity planning and technical designs
• Research and keep up to date on emerging technology trends and architectural patterns
• Provide technology leadership, keeping up-to-date with industry and market trends and opportunities

What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this role, you will bring:

• Tertiary qualifications in Information Technology (or related discipline)
• Experience in designing and delivering technical solutions to solve business problems
• Expertise in software architecture and system integration
• Broad knowledge across IT technical architecture (networking, storage and software)
• Knowledge of and experience in software development methodologies
• Knowledge of security aspects across IT technical architecture
• Advanced problem solving capabilities
• Ability to develop strong working relationships with a range of stakeholders
• High level written and oral communication skills
• Ability to prioritise work and operate with minimal supervision in a team environment
