We specialise in the development and delivery of rich web and mobile software solutions for government agencies in the area of regulation, compliance and enforcement.
Who we are looking for:
Itree is looking for enthusiastic and talented software support engineers (Level 2 and Level 3) to join its established Wollongong-based software support team. The successful candidates will be working in a customer facing development and support environment consisting of productive agile teams, a highly automated tool chain, and a modern technology base.
The role will work within the Customer Support Team, reporting to the Service Desk Manager. To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Experience in a software/application support environment
- Demonstrated problem solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Outstanding time management skills
- Ability to work well in a team within a high pressure environment
- Customer centric, as culture is key you must be able to speak in layman’s terms and be able to have a laugh
- Experience/familiarity of programming languages (Java preferred)
- Experience/familiarity with SQL, ability to interpret and understand existing mid to complex level SQL scripts
- Solaris / Unix skills, including intermediate to advanced shell scripting
- Understanding of software development processes and lifecycle
- Ability to perform troubleshooting at multiple levels, combine results and information from multiple sources (including log files, stack traces, events) to produce quality resolutions and support outcomes
- Intermediate understanding of networking concepts and their influence on software applications
- Ability to perform basic networking troubleshooting and reporting of faults found
- Experience/familiarity with operating systems such as Solaris, Windows, Linux
Our selection will be based on:
- Degree in computer science or equivalent relevant industry experience
- Understanding of software support
- Good attitude
- To have fun and enjoy what you do to help our business succeed
- Familiarity and experience with ITIL and Service Desk processes
We would be ecstatic if you have experience in / with:
- More advanced experience with SQL, shell scripting and Java
- ITIL v3 Foundation or higher
- software testing
- supporting applications in cloud environments
- configuring Event Management / Monitoring tools such as Dynatrace, Splunk, Data Dog, Solarwinds, sumologic
- Jira, Jira Service Desk, Confluence, ServiceNow, Remedy
- Oracle, Postgress, MS SQL
Only Australian citizens or permanent residents will be considered for this role. It is a condition of employment that the successful candidate be able to obtain a National Police Certificate clearance.
