As the Senior Business Analyst you will support the development, design and delivery of project initiatives and associated governance processes. This role will also contribute to the annual Student Strategy planning and budgeting process.
Key Responsbilities
- Support across the diagnostic, design and implementation stages for the project initiatives, including activities such as:
- Data gathering and analysis;
- Impact assessment;
- Conduct interviews and facilitate workshops;
- Map end-to-end processes and identify potential opportunities for improvement;
- Conduct baseline assessments, and assess gaps to relevant internal and external benchmarks;
- Produce clear and succinct reports, presentations, business cases, blueprints, implementation plans and project plans; and
- Work collaboratively with key stakeholders at all levels.
Key skills and experience
- Demonstrated capability in the management of large change projects with multiple stakeholders within complex work environments including experience in using and understanding systems, processes and organisational structures;
- Experience in business process design and delivery of change and new products, services and functions, as well as associated consultation with stakeholders;
- Proven analytical, problem solving and data interrogation skills with a demonstrated ability to develop effective written proposals and reports at a level appropriate for the intended audience using the advanced features of Microsoft Office applications (or equivalent);
- Postgraduate qualifications or progress towards postgraduate qualifications and extensive experience as a business analyst or generalist with a focus on business process, system or service improvement; or equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training;
- Knowledge and demonstrated skills in stream-lining, standardising and documenting system/business processes; and
- Experience applying customer-centred design principles (i.e. user experience or design thinking).
