Looking for an experienced IT Manager with excellent IT/people skills to join a reputable organization on the North side of Brisbane for a full-time permanent role, starting ASAP!

 

In this role you will be responsible for managing the company’s IT outsourced service provider to provide a seemingly smooth operation of the IT on the ground to staff. 

 

Main Responsibilities: 

• Work with the Operations Manager to implement the company’s IT vision and direction
• Display leadership and activity that will positively influence team culture and business performance
• Manage and undertake the planning, setting up and maintenance of an efficient IT network and system across various business locations
• Be in close consultation with the external IT services provider managing and overseeing the IT systems and infrastructure
• Give guidance, provide information and train staff on the use of IT hardware and software
• Regular testing of backup and disaster recovery procedures
• Verify application results by conducting system audits of technologies implemented
• Prepare and maintain a comprehensive register of software licences and ensure the business is complying with all legal requirements in the use of software packages
• Prepare and maintain a register of all company owned and hired IT equipment and ensure routine maintenance is undertaken
• Acting as a project leader and developing implementation plans
• Establish and implement a plan to ensure minimal disruptions to the business’ operations when planned or not planned shutdown of IT systems occurs
• Manage the implementation, maintenance and training requirements for the business’ EDMS
• Liaise with staff members at all levels to ascertain current and future needs for IT services.
• Source supply proposals from software and hardware suppliers and make recommendations to enter into supply agreements ensuring the best commercial outcome for the business.
• Report any errors or misuse of the IT system to Ops Manager
• Liaise with the HR Manager and Executive Assistance on all new employees
• Support the external IT services provider in managing the IT Contract as a systems advisor
• Prepare and deliver a month-end report on all activities carried out via the external IT services provider
• Build IT team

 

Key Skills Required: 

• IT Degree/Certifications
• 6+ years of IT Management experience
• Extensive experience with stakeholder/vendor/service provider management
• Extensive hands-on Infrastructure and Software experience
• Experience putting together IT strategy
• Project Management experience
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
