Green Light Worldwide requires a Senior Wintel Engineer to design, build, deploy and support complex server, backup, Active Directory and virtualised solutions to join our Sydney delivery team. The Senior Wintel Engineer will provide advice to Green Light and act as SME with any technical issues.
This position is responsible for end to end Level 2/3 engineering, ensuring technical excellence and improvements to infrastructure across numerous business technology streams. The Senior Wintel Engineer will have the opportunity to drive improvements, problem resolutions, upgrades and hardware configurations.
The Senior Wintel Engineer will manage and maintain hardware, virtualization platforms, messaging and Windows server environments and provide proactive and reactive support services to maintain the availability and reliability of Green Lights environments.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain and administer pre-prod and production environments as required.
- Provide assistance in sustainment and implementation activities.
- Provide level 2/3 infrastructure support.
- Investigate complex technical problems assigned to the services team.
- Participate in the continual improvement cycle by delivering improvements to processes and technologies used by Green Light.
Requirements:
- 5 years' experience in a current similar role.
- Competency as a System Admin. - Windows 2003, 2008, 2012 – Vmware and Active Directory.
- Core infrastructure services (Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Mail and Hypervisor).
- Familiarity with high availability technologies.
- Developed ability with VMware virtualisation technology.
- Relevant certifications - a combination of MCSA or MCSD, MCSE or MCITP, VCP.
- Ability to influence peers, cross-functional partners, and management.
- Solid technical aptitude, mentoring, and customer facing skills.
- Apply technology best practices and enterprise standards.
- ITIL Foundations certificate.
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
- Working Knowledge of core infrastructure components such as Cisco routing and switching would be highly desirable.
- Experience supporting WIFI would be highly desirable.
