Position Overview

The position will involve working on projects independently right from the start as well as contributing to projects as part of a team. A well organised, productive person with attention to detail and good time management skills will be well suited to the position as you will need to meet deadlines and juggle between various active projects in any given week.

As a member of the web team you will also provide daily updates to your team - to ensure high quality and best practice outcomes whilst being aware of schedules and production requirements. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are also necessary as there will be a lot of direct client contact. A web developer with a positive attitude will help us take our agency to new and exciting levels. We want you to make our creative designs come to life on the web.

Key Skill Requirements

• 5+ years experience in web development with PHP
• Experience writing modern PHP encompassing PHP7, OO
• Experience with Laravel / Symphony / CakePHP frameworks or equivalent highly regarded
• Code Igniter 2 experience also favourable for legacy project updates
• Experience with version control - ideally Git
• Experience with a JS frameworks, Vue.js & Webpack preferable
• Well versed in HTML, CSS/SCSS and Javascript/jQuery
• Ability to structure and query complex databases, MySQL preferable
• Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development process preferable
• Excellent communication skills, coupled with excellent spoken and written English
• Experience with Linux server management, comfortable using SSH
• Experience with both Apache & Nginx server management will be favourable
• Experience with basic DevOps & AWS is a bonus
• Proven track record of developing sites
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment
• Passion to create quality work with like minded people
• Experience building ecommerce sites

Skill Requirements - Nice to haves:

• Experience with Linux server management, comfortable using SSH
• Experience with both Apache & Nginx server management will be favourable
• Experience with basic DevOps & AWS is a bonus

• Experience in Unit Testing
