Hello! We're a small Melbourne based company developing Omny Studio (omnystudio.com) - an enterprise-grade audio CMS for some of the largest radio networks and podcasters around the world.
Job description
As an engineer you will work closely in the team to:
- Architect and build new features to be used by thousands of publishers every day
- Fine-tune and scale the platform to accommodate millions of podcast downloads every day
- Squash bugs and improve system reliability
We have several exciting projects under development for the platform and internal improvements including migrating to .NET Core - lots of fun things to work on.
Desired Technical Skills and Experience
You should have:
- Strong experience with C# .NET MVC web development
- Experience with SQL databases
- Experience writing unit tests, code refactoring, improving code performance
- Familiarity with tools of the trade (TeamCity, NUnit, Moq, Profilers, Visual Studio, ReSharper)
- Proficient with git source control and GitHub
- Familiar with frontend development (HTML, CSS, JS)
Bonus Technical Skills and Experience
These aren't requirements, just an overview of the kind of technologies we use day to day.
- Experience using NoSQL databases like Redis
- Experience designing for scalable infrastructure and cloud computing (Azure, Amazon, etc)
- Experience with frontend tooling (Typescript, NPM, gulp, Webpack)
- Experience with a frontend framework (we primarily use Angular, but interested in React, Vue and Ember)
- Experience with media frameworks (ffmpeg, MP3 codec, waveforms)
- Mentioning the word pineapple in the resume email subject line
- You have experience or a passion for podcasting/radio/audio
