Project Release Manager:

About role-

As Project Release Manager you will manage remote teams and resources across the technical environment and implement an associated best practice management framework. 

Utilise your outstanding collaboration skills and effectively communicate and facilitate across broad audiences, across several remote locations including key business partners and/or various leadership teams and levels.


Requirements:

  • 10 years of Release Management experience
  • Extensive experience in working on Agile/Scrum methodology
  • In depth knowledge on End to end CI/CD process using tools such as TeamCity, Jenkins, Octopus, Docker, GIT, etc.
  • Previous experience managing remote teams and resources
  • Experience in creation of release plans, reports, and process improvement documentation.
  • Strong experience in managing and driving releases using Agile principles
  • Ability to juggle competing priorities simultaneously and deliver on-time
  • This role requires exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills

 

Responsibilities:

  • Will own the Release Management lifecycle which includes preparing release calendar, scheduling, coordinating and the management of releases across the enterprise for multiple applications
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills, demonstrated ability to produce high-level management and RAG status and steering committee reports
  • Team player with outstanding stakeholder management and communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build and maintain relationships
  • Stakeholder Management: Different levels of stakeholders with different expectation levels from the Triage Mgt & Triage Team will need to be managed on an ongoing basis.
  • Responsible for implementing and managing release processes for code through development, test, and production environments
  • Prepare/Share Plan the release windows and cycles across a portfolio
  • Manage risks and resolve issues that affect release scope, schedule and quality
  • Measure and monitor progress to ensure application releases are delivered on time
  • Communicate all key project plans, commitments, and changes including requirements, QA plans, schedule, and scope changes to Stakeholders
  • Manage/Coordinate work between different teams at different locations
  • Conduct Release Readiness reviews, Milestone Reviews, and Business Go/No-Go reviews
  • Produce Deployment, Run schedule and Implementation Plans
  • Weekly Release status tracking/reporting
  • Continually work towards making improvements in the release process
  • Lead and co-ordinate the Go-Live activities including the execution of the deployment Plans and checklists.
  • Participate in CAB meetings to discuss release scope and/or roadblocks

 

Qualification Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information technology.
  • Must have 10+ years of IT experience.
  • Excellent communication skills.
