About the role:

We are seeking a full-time IT Helpdesk Support Technician to join our IT team and provide first and second level technical support in all aspects of the corporate IT environment. Reporting to the Chief Technology Officer, your duties will include:

  • Monitoring all service desk issues to ensure prompt resolution
  • Providing telephone and customer-facing support for initial fault diagnosis
  • The creation and deletion of new users across all internal systems
  • Setup of all new mobile/tablet devices
  • Managing the day-to-day operations of the CBP website and intranet
  • Patching of ports for all new starters to ensure network connectivity
  • Hardware relocations and re-configurations (eg. PCs and telephones)
  • Monitoring and reporting on hardware, software and network resources to ensure a high level of performance, security and integrity
  • Assisting with the administration and support of the local area network, servers and printing facilities
  • Providing analytics on website usage, bulk emailing and marketing systems

The successful candidate:

You will be supported in this close knit team, given training, mentoring and guidance from your peers and leader. You will need to be self-motivated, energetic and adaptable in this dynamic environment. Ideal background and skills include:

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications
  • At least 2-3 years' experience in a level one/two helpdesk role
  • Experience in a professional services background with a national focus
  • Microsoft and network certifications (preferred)
  • Experience supporting LANs, PC operating systems, desktop software and video conferences
  • Experience using a variety of PC software including the Microsoft Office Suite, Microsoft Exchange, Windows servers and desktops, Citrix, anti-virus software; and surface device experience
  • Excellent communication skills - both face to face and over the phone
  • Strong customer service orientation
  • A professional, flexible, mature, positive, friendly and team orientated approach to work
  • Ability to travel on odd occasions
