The Opportunity

On behalf of our Government client we are looking for an experienced Project Officer to join the data team and work on a large program of work. The successful candidate will need to have experience in data analysis, stakeholder engagement and project management.

This Government organisation within the Health industry works collaboratively with a wide range of groups, stakeholders and service providers. The vision of this organisation is to reduce the impact of cancer and improve the well being of people affected.

The Role

Working as a critical part of the team this is a fantastic opportunity for an individual with prior experience in project management and data analysis.

Job duties will include but not limited to;

  • Assist in the development and conduct specific data projects, including the development and reporting of control indicators, data development activities and treatments and recurrence
  • Undertake project management, including budget management of data projects
  • Undertake contract management, including monitoring and reviewing deliverables provided by external groups/organisations
  • Undertake data analysis
  • Prepare data reports and written technical advice
  • Organise meetings and undertake Secretariat duties
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders

To Be Considered

The successful applicant will posses the following;

  • Experience working in health, education or research
  • Highly developed research and analytical skills, experience in data development activities and a high level of proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • The ability to think strategically, including the ability to support strategic directions of an organisation
  • Highly developed written and oral communications skills and the ability to present evidence and clearly communicate complex concepts
  • Well developed project management skills
  • Ability to build and maintain internal and external relationships, including the ability to negotiate with a clear understanding of the desired outcomes
  • Display personal drive and integrity, including a commitment to personal development
