Our client is a very well-know, global brand with state of the art offices in central Brisbane, who have an urgent requirement for a Business Analyst for an initial 3-4 month contract which potential extension. This contract role is required to support multiple process improvement projects that requires business analysis and problem solving capabilities along with strong system skills in data collection, data manipulation and reporting. The primary focus of the role is in developing standardised tools to manage and report on key business metrics, such as workforce planning and utilisation/capacity management.

The Responsibilities
• Identify and document business requirements into processes and solutions.
• Analyse disparate data sets from a range of systems and develop repeatable processes to collate, manipulate and report on data and key metrics
• Develop solutions for data mapping, consolidation, transformation, and reporting activities using common business toolsets such as MS Excel, MS Access (including query skills), and reporting tools such as Tableau.
• Rapidly develop simple prototypes / examples of data consolidation and reports to demonstrate what is possible.
• Lead meetings and workshops with business personnel and data owners to identify and agree on best practices to capture key data on a timely basis.
• Develop test routines to validate accuracy and integrity of data and reporting.
• Provide training to business users on data solutions and reports
• Actively and positively contribute to improving the team culture, behaviours, and outcomes
The Requirements
• Proven business analysis skills in identifying business problem areas and developing sustainable solutions to improve business outcomes.
• Experience with TM1, Aurion, Oracle ERP
• Experience with Workforce planning processes and tools, HR data records.
• Over five (5) years’ experience in developing data collection and management processes and tools using high levels of skills in both MS Excel and MS Access, including scripting experience.
• Over five (5) years’ experience in developing key management reports, graphs and metrics using tool such as MS Excel MS Access, and Tableau.
• Experience with training up key users in new tools, and documenting processes to ensure the solutions and reports remain accurate and well supported.
• Proven experience in developing rapid prototypes to illustrate solution options.
• Experience with Analytical and Decision making methodologies
• Experience with Business Process mapping tools and methods
• Experience in large organisations
• Strong communications and interpersonal skills - facilitating, negotiating, influencing etc
• Experience and comfortable with presenting to teams, leading workshops and documenting solutions or new ways of operating.
