This role involves implementation of network architectural solutions to support essential departmental services. This is an attractive Government department that offers flexible working options and long term career growth.
About the company:
One of the largest NSW Government Departments offers a Senior Network Engineer role within their Network Services team based in Sydney's West. You will be responsible for the implementation of network services and infrastructure designs related to the edge environments and associated application infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:
- Facilitate the planning, implementation, support and documentation of network implementation activities
- Implement solutions and network architecture solutions
- Produce operational, functional and technical documents (both high level architectural and low level detailed) for Information Technology Directorate teams
- Implement new network initiatives
Key requirements:
- Experience in the implementation of large enterprise networks including Routing, Switching, Firewall, Load balancing, Proxy, DNS in a multivendor environment and across multivendor operating systems
- You must be able to design documents into implementation plans that align with current Departmental practices and processes
- Proficiency in application switching devices such as enterprise proxy servers and content filters
This is a permanent position for an initial 12 month engagement with opportunity of extension starting ASAP.
