As a full-time Level 2 ICT Systems Support Officer, you will work with the ICT Technical Manager and ICT Client Services Manager to provide and maintain an efficient, functional and stable ICT infrastructure. You will act as a bridge between our service desk team and infrastructure support.

Primary Responsibilities (include but not limited to):

  • Assist in configuration, deployment and maintenance of standard operating environment by acting as the point of escalation and resolution of technology problems
  • Use Windows Active Directory Services to do various system administration tasks such as user account management, log review, active directory management, group policies, patching and system maintenance
  • Liaise with various software vendors and their help desk personnel to troubleshoot applications used throughout the school
  • Help manage, monitor and maintain the server and network infrastructure
  • Develop and maintain procedural documentation including operational, technical and configuration documentation
  • Help the ICT Support Team implement various departmental and business projects
  • Work with the Front Desk team to resolve Mac OS X, Windows 8/10 client issues.
  • Provide technical support over the phone to staff and parents.

Key Skills and Experience:

  • Possess tertiary qualifications and/or industry certifications such as MSCA/MTA/CCNA
  • Experience in Windows Server 2008/2012 and Windows 8/10 operating systems. Previous Mac OS X experience is a plus
  • Demonstrated problem solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and be accountable for outcomes
  • Excellent documentation, organisational, interpersonal & communication skills
  • Ability to up-skill and increase specialist and market knowledge through self-training and on the job experience

Desirable:

  • Experience in an educational environment
  • Prior experience with VMware or knowledge about virtualisation
  • Working knowledge in a scripting language
  • Experience with Database Administration Systems
