The Team…

The mission of the Enterprise DevOps team is to drive cultural change and provide advanced technical capability needed for CI/CD to teams in order to ship value to their customers faster than ever before. They’re a small but well-connected team that sits across the technology organization, working with development teams, providing thought leadership & engineering skills as well as driving systemic change. They lead by example and you will have a high degree of autonomy, working in cross-functional teams, supported by management & servant leadership to clear the road ahead, hack days and space for continual improvement.

The role…

This is not your typical DevOps Engineer role, it requires a special blend of personal, technical, communication and cultural skills in order to change the ways of working of their delivery teams. It’s about assessing how well the teams are working and how they deliver change and then helping them realise their potential through continually learning, discovering, creating and sharing better ways of working together.

This will involve leading and consulting multiple projects and teams to architect, design, plan and deliver continuous delivery solutions as well as working with strategic partners. Acting as a thought leader who defines Continuous Delivery and DevOps, your success will be defined by high adoption and maturity of DevOps practices and an uplift in delivery KPIs.

What we are looking for…

• Provide thought leadership on and/or perform hands-on design and implementation of CI/CD and cultural transformation.
• Lead delivery teams to achieve success through the adoption of Continuous Delivery and DevOps practices, processes and tooling.
• Coaching and mentoring of delivery teams to reach a DevOps culture
• Drive associated cultural change by gaining an understanding of people's concerns about the new ways of working and helping them understand the vision and what it means to them
• Drive, support and measure the adoption of Continuous Delivery and DevOps Maturity
• Work with diverse tools, platforms and teams
• Research industry best practices to develop policies, standards, guidelines, governance and related guidance
• Prior experience with technologies such as Ansible, Puppet, Jenkins, Git, Artifactory, Docker, K8s, AWS, Azure, Linux, Windows, Python, Groovy, Shell Scripting, Server Spec, ELK, Splunk, Grafana.
