We are currently looking for an IT Technical Assistant to work at our Regis Head Office in Armadale. This role is full time 12 months fixed term. The IT Technical Assistant works closely with the IT Service Desk Manager as well as the IT management team to deliver a wide variety of IT operational support to optimise business uptime and minimise disruption.

This role will involve taking responsibility for various support aspects of IT service desk, including raising Capex and purchase orders, accepting hardware and software deliveries, overseeing invoice distribution across all teams as well as extended support for the IT service desk team.

The role also involves maintaining and updating the IT service management system, providing regular operational reports, managing software renewals, conducting research into technology options and co-ordinating meetings with various IT vendors.

 

Your role will include, but not limited to:

  • Support operations management activities, including preparation of reports and charts
  • Provide support in the co-ordination and execution of daily activities for the team
  • Support service desk team members in managing changes to the end user computing environment
  • Analyse, design and develop telecommunications solutions and applications for business practices
  • Provide technical and logistical direction
  • Support engagement with internal stakeholders to ensure all key issues and future requirements are identified and addressed
  • Co-ordination of various user forums, including application owners user group and facilities systems user group

 

The successful candidate will have the following:

  • Cross-functional knowledge of IT environment technologies and their associated support requirements.
  • Basic high level analytical, conceptual and problem solving ability.
  • Experience in working with third party service providers to deliver new services and support outcomes
  • Proven ability to engage at all business levels and success in managing and forging strong relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to prioritise and execute tasks in a time and resource constrained environment
  • Organised, focussed and methodical; able to multi task
  • Able to effectively communicate with a broad range of stakeholders
  • Ability to convert complex language and concepts into everyday language to suit varied audiences
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Demonstrated experience in project planning and implementation

 

The following are desirable qualifications we are looking:

  • Preferred Degree Level qualification in Information Technology,  Engineering or related discipline
  • Practitioner level ITIL certification
  • Security Accreditation(s)
  • Experience in managing with IT vendors
  • Experience in delivering IT systems

 

This role is a Monday to Friday role with occasional need for evening or weekend work as required for business priorities. Flexible hours within core business hours of 8am – 6pm. This role also requires travel to Regis facilities around Australia on a regular basis.
