Our client, a well know and well respected educational institute have an opening for an experienced Project Analyst to help facilitate and manage a large programme of work, based around student strategy and e-learning.

The program is expected to develop and deliver specific initiatives including initiatives around blended learning, elearning environments, learning analytics, student employability, student sense of belonging and students as partners.


Duties

Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• In consultation with the Deputy Director (eLearning), plan and manage program delivery, including:
  • management, scheduling and coordination of projects and key activities,
  • manage and schedule program resources,
  • manage program budget and schedule,
  • tracking and reporting progress, including forecasting completion dates and total project expense,
  • manage risks & issues;
• Establish and maintain processes, systems and resources to govern, manage and deliver the program and its component projects and activities;
• Work with the Deputy Director (eLearning) to plan and manage project resources, including:
  • Establish, manage and develop program staff and contractors according to identified program resource requirements;
  • Engage and support student partners and academic staff working on course development;
• Manage, communicate and support change processes, systems, roles and courses arising from the program;
• Engage stakeholders and communicate program status and benefits;
• Any other duties as reasonably directed by the Program Manager, Student Strategy.

Selection Criteria

Essential

• Relevant postgraduate qualifications – e.g. education, project management, IT, business, or a related field; or an equivalent combination of experience and education;
• Demonstrated experience in a program management role utilising structured program and project management frameworks (e.g. PRINCE2/MSP or PMP), including demonstrated experience:
  • Supporting program governance processes and documentation, including program and project approvals and progress reporting,
  • Managing programs from planning to implementation and evaluation, and demonstrating achievement of project objectives, scope, benefits and performance, and transitioning accepted deliverables to operational responsibility,
  • Establishing and maintaining appropriate program/project management processes, systems, templates and tools,
  • Managing program and project staff,
  • Managing program budgets;
• Demonstrated experience in the design, implementation and/or change in the delivery of educational courses or programs, involving digital/on-line learning environments;
• Excellent written, graphical and verbal communication skills that demonstrate an exceptional ability to articulate situational contexts, prioritise issues, and recommend well-supported options, decisions and actions;
• Highly developed interpersonal skills, including a proven ability to:
  • navigate a complex organisational environment,
  • engage and work constructively with a range of people, including students, academic and professional staff across a range of functional/technical areas,
  • lead organisational change and influence others to achieve organisation-wide goals and objectives

Desirable

• Experience in best practice educational/learning design in the higher education sector, including experience in active learning pedagogies and the development of online courses, e.g. Massive Open Online Courses (MOOCs) and/or Small Private Online Courses (SPOCs)
