The Organisation
UBERDOC is a mobile app based digital health service initiative with its head office in Ipswich, Queensland. UBERDOC provides a platform of mobile apps for doctor-patient interaction. The services available through the app include Home visits, Tele-consultations, Specialist referrals and Medical certificates. We have our apps available for download throughout Australia. Although the key focus of service delivery is concentrates around Brisbane and Ipswich region currently, we will be expanding the range of services gradually.
The role
Due to the growth in business we are looking to hire a DevOps engineer with some management skills to update, run and manage our current services. We are looking for a bubbly, positive and easy to relate person who is flexible with times. As we are a start-up some roles may coalesce.
We are looking for an ambitious DevOps Engineer preferably with .net, HTML5, Mobile and azure background who can drive the solution reliability and scalability through continuous integration and testing.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- leading all DevOps related activities (including test, build and release infrastructure)
- Guide teams through SDLC
- Work collaboratively with development teams, solution designers and architects to create configurations for environments
- Technical liaison between development and operations for builds and deployments
- Continuous delivery of DevOps practices and processes
- Have a very strong focus on analysis, solution and technical design activities with high quality documentation and realist work estimates as the end deliverable
- Coordinate and manage social media marketing
- Some admin and management roles will also be involved.
Key selection criteria
To Be Successful in the position you will possess;
Experience and skills:
- Continuous Integration, Delivery, DevOps and Automation
- Release Management utilizing GIT
- PowerShell scripting
- MS Azure Platform
- RESTful APIs and API management tools
- C# and.Net Core Framework
- Mobile App build and submission experience both in Android and iOS using Hybrid frameworks.
- Deploy and configure scalable applications & APIs
- Automation for build and release management
- Software Configuration management automation
- SDLC methodologies - Waterfall and Agile
- Experience with SaaS platforms such as or similar to Auth0, Firebase, etc
- Demonstrable experience in project management within health sector with previous experience in working within a patient-centred environment – desirable but not mandatory
- A pro-active attitude, a high degree of initiative and a positive outlook.
- Commitment to self-development and ongoing education.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills across a variety of stakeholder contexts, effective written and verbal communications and ability to work autonomously
- Ability to be actively involved in workforce and budget planning and reporting.
- Can-do attitude and ability to own and solve problems
- Be flexible and accommodating when required.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in IT - essential
- Tertiary qualifications or equivalent experience in Management - desirable but not mandatory
- Certified Microsoft 533 - Implementing Microsoft Azure Infrastructure Solutions
- Relevant certifications are desirable
