We are looking for another rock star to join our TechOps team as a Systems Engineer. This role requires an individual with strong technical horsepower, an excellent customer service ethic and ability to create technical results rapidly. This role would suit an engineer that wants to build their career and is looking for an employer that will accelerate that.
We are a rapidly growing, industry leading company who has just moved into a purpose-built TechOps facility to cater for this growth. There are tonnes of opportunities to grow your skill, experience new technologies and forge your career.
Key day-to-day responsibilities:
- Managing customer's AWS, hybrid cloud and on-premises infrastructure platforms - AWS, Microsoft, firewalling - loads of technology
- Tier 2 - 3 support, maintenance and advanced troubleshooting across a wide variety of technologies
- Scripting - we love automation
- Customer technology architecture recommendations and problem analysis
- Communicating with customers on technical items
- Managing, troubleshooting and resolving incidents, service requests, events and problems
- Technical documentation (we've all got to do it)
- Most work is from our office, you'll also visit customer sites regularly
Knowledge and skills needed:
- General infrastructure knowledge
- Microsoft server suite (Office 365, AD, Exchange, RDS, etc.)
- If you've got Linux skills, we love that.
- Networking
- Troubleshooting and problem management
- Outstanding verbal and written communication
- Reliable and positive attitude.
- Amazon Web Services – Experience with AWS is a huge bonus but not essential, if you're dedicated to expanding your skills through our funded training program.
