You will be joining an exciting new start-up in the crypto-currency sector. Suponic has created a real-time blockchain payment method, and we are venturing into brave new territories in an effort to expand our portfolio. You will have exposure to new ideas, new challenges, and plenty of new and cutting-edge technologies.
About the role
We are looking for a senior backend developer who understand the big picture of a system and can take requirements and draw up system architectures to meet those requirements. We work with NodeJS to implement the backend of our online crypto-currency exchange.
Our technology stack consists of MongoDB as the database, NodeJS in the backend, React in the frontend. You are required to have worked with all three areas extensively, and should be able to head the project's direction, mentor junior developers, and provide constructive feedback leading code reviews.
You are also required to have worked with testing frameworks to be able to implement unit tests, integration tests, and regression tests to the system to ensure new changes does not have negative impact to existing features.
You will work closely with the Director to understand new requirements, plan new features, and provide advice on the future technical direction of the company.
You will also have the opportunity to code hands-on for the most business-critical aspects of the system and have the ability to delegate tasks to others as you see fit.

You will be responsible for:
- System architecting from gathered requirements
- Finding and implementing new frameworks to ensure smooth delivery of projects. This includes project management frameworks like Agile or Scrum, testing frameworks, code reviewing frameworks
- Coding business-critical applications
- High responsibility, but your decisions will really make an impact
- Conducting code reviews to ensure code quality
- Managing testing frameworks to ensure quality of product
- Able to determine performance bottlenecks and how to resolve them

Skills and experience
Skills needed:
- NodeJS
- Worked with numerous blockchain technologies and know how to interact with major crypto-currencies out there (BTC, ETH, LTC, XRP, etc.)
- React – should have high exposure to the framework
- MongoDB – must have experience with working with
- Unit testing – must have experience writing and executing unit tests
- Build & Deploy – must have experience building and deploying production level applications with no downtime
- Project management – worked with, or have been, a project manager before
- Be able to write build tasks in Gulp or Yarn
You must have experience working in a corporate environment with full suite of tests, code reviews, and plenty of collaboration.
