Due to an internal promotion, we currently have an opening for a Test Engineer to join our team of 8 motivated developers. Our mission is to make computer-based learning in K-12 classes more effective, by making it visible to educators through simple, actionable, real-time feedback. Our international product uses cutting edge technology and we are looking for a talented individual who can oversee both manual and automated testing of our application and software. This is a highly collaborative role so will

Reporting to the CTO, you will;

• Design test plans, test scenarios, test procedures, test cases and test data flexibly from requirements or from alternate documentation or descriptions.
• Develop and execute testing procedures using automated testing scripts for functional, customer scenario, performance and scalability testing.
• Execute manual testing where appropriate and where required.
• Document test results to be in line with existing procedures.

We are looking for technical person who has; 

• Solid understanding and experience of the agile software development process and environment.
• A Computer Science degree or equivalent.
• Cross-Platform skills across multiple technologies including PC, tablet, mobile OS’s as well as cloud server knowledge.
• Good knowledge of relational databases, including SQL skills. An added benefit if you have worked with PostgreSQL.
• Good Experience but not limited to Java 8 or python 3.
• Working knowledge and understanding of software tools such as GIT, JIRA, Confluence.
• A good understanding of what it means to work in an Agile environment
• Ability to analyse test results and create test reports to identify defects across different applications.
• An understanding of how to apply data driven test processes using both test automation and manual testing.
• Ability to achieve high test coverage with appropriate test approaches.
