Purpose of the role

IT Service Delivery is the function within IT that is the primary point of contact for all services delivered to the end user community. The position of IT Service Delivery Manager is accountable and responsible for the following functional areas

Accountabilities

Responsible for the establishment, coordination and delivery of the IT Service Level Objectives (SLO), and the associated reporting to the business;

Assists in managing partner and vendor relationships and ensuring services delivered are in line with Service Level Objectives

Owns and maintains the IT Service Catalogue;

Works with the various IT teams to define the Services in the IT Service Catalogue;

Works closely with the Head of IT Infrastructure and Services on End User Computing strategy and standard operating environment (SOE)

Is the custodian of the ITIL Framework

Drives and owns the internal IT Process Improvement

Participates and is a key resource in the delivery of projects within IT

Manages the transition to BAU support of new IT Services

Ensures consistency in the processes, standards and quality of delivery of services old and new

Skill Required

  • General management experience within a corporate IT environment is essential
  • Experience in creating and documenting support policies and processes
  • A strong understanding of IT Service Management with relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent experience in both IT and business related discipline
  • Extensive experience in the development, implementation, and management of ITIL principles in a complex IT environment
  • Broad, contemporary knowledge of IT products and services with the ability to engage in technical discussion with technical staff
  • Ability to provide guidance and support in decision making processes between customers/business and IT teams
  • Experience in managing senior company executives
  • IT operational financial management experience
  • Excels at getting things done

Qualifications/Licences

  • A tertiary degree in I.T or related
  • 5 - 10 years work experience in a senior IT management capacity
  • Member of Australian Computer Society or similar professional body
  • ITIL certified

To be successful you will be an experienced I.T service delivery manager with extensive experience in the development, implementation, and management of ITIL principles in a complex IT environment. Ability to conform to shifting priorities, demands and timelines within a corporate environment and strong interpersonal skills to persuasive, encourage and motivate
