A leading consultancy is actively recruiting an accomplished Systems Engineering Lead to join their growing team. Providing services to Defence, this market leader requires an experienced Senior Systems/ Software Engineer to partner with the Systems Engineering Manager to implement system requirements and design tasks.

Key responsibilities include:

Work with the Systems Engineering Manager to plan, monitor, control and report all project engineering development
Tailor engineering management plans
Supervise software and hardware development
Ensure compliance with Quality Plans
Produce system level documentation
System and Software Requirements Analysis
Develop and/or modify a system design that describes the system components that will satisfy the system requirements.
System and Software Architectural Design

To be considered for this position essential requirements include:

More than 7 years’ experience in system requirements, software requirements, user interface specifications, system and software design, construction, integration and verification
Use of requirement analysis and management tools
Use of UML software design tools;
Use of software configuration management tools
Use of product/application lifecycle management tools
Work progress and estimation experience
Use of defect tracking systems

Experience Highly Desired

Familiarity with Australian Defence documentation and technical process requirements
Mentoring of less experienced system and software engineers
Experience in the delivery of formal reviews to customers and/or approving agencies
Experience using DOORS and Sparx Enterprise Architect
Experience using Aras Innovator; Experience with Ada, and C++ software languages in a Linux development environment.
