As the Senior Manager for Core Engineering you will provide the cornerstone of Vodafone Australia?s Digital presence. Working for the Head of Digital Technology, you will be a key player in enabling Vodafone to drive business results by providing best-in-class digital platforms and services, whilst delivering an exceptional customer experience.
This role is a permanent position, based in North Sydney in the Digital Technology division
Some of your key accountabilities will include:
- Lead a diverse team including development managers, developers, testers, delivery managers, scrum masters, and business analysts, creating a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.
- Ownership and accountability for managing and operating a range of technology platforms to ensure they are highly available, resilient and scalable. These include: eCommerce Content management Self-service applications (including MyVodafone) Identity and Access Management.
- Define and maintain strategic roadmaps for the platforms and services within Core Engineering, including: Delivering an exceptional customer experience. Driving simplicity and efficiency. Highly available, stable and scalable services.
- Deliver complex and strategic programs of work, responsibilities include: Overseeing development and delivery managers. Approve technical solutions and approaches. Ensuring proper integration with a number of other platforms managed by other technology teams. Managing conflicting priorities; Championing Agile work practices;
To be considered for this role you should have proven and demonstrated experience and delivery within the digital domain. A background in software engineering encompassing agile engineering practices and continuous delivery.
Advanced knowledge of Continuous Integration practices; Experience delivering and managing large corporate platforms on Amazon Web Services. An understanding of CloudFront for content delivery and security; Strong experience with content management, eCommerce and self-service systems including integration with corporate and partner systems such as ERP and CRM solutions.
Understanding of digital security concepts and practices. Experience with digital marketing solutions and practices, including SEO/SEM, content targeting, A/B testing, web analytics; Understanding of UX Design principles and experience with customer journeys and storyboards;
