Kordia is one of Australia's largest Telecommunications Systems Integration service delivery organisations.  We specialise in designing, building and operating challenging and critical telecommunications systems throughout Australia.

We are currently going through an exciting period of growth and a result are looking for a Cable Installer to work part of the Specialised Coverage Solutions Team within Kordia. 

This is a very hands on role and will see you provide installations of distributed antenna systems (DAS) which will include the installation of coaxial cable, splitters, couplers and antennas.

Reporting to the Deployment Manager, you will;

• Perform installation duties of the Distributed Antenna Systems as directed by the Deployment Specialist or Leading Hand, including cabling, passive components, and terminating / testing of connectors.
• Follow instructions regarding work methodologies and practices by the Deployment Specialist or Leading Hand
• Ensure that all relevant OH&S practices and procedures are followed and adhered to.

In order to be considered for the role we are targeting the following skills and qualifications:

• Cabling installation experience in electrical / communications or equivalent
• Practical experience in using hand tools, ladders and drills
• A Police Check is required for this role
• Willingness for physical work and ability to work at heights when required.
• Willingness to travel regularly to sites across the state and interstate for installations
• Strong communication and inter-personal skills, good grasp of English and be able to communicate well with staff
• Understanding of quality systems, OH&S and regulatory compliance
• Other accreditation such as White Card (Construction Industry), EWP, Working at Heights 
• Possession of a Telecommunications Cabling Licence, or commit to obtaining a licence as directed
• Maintain current drivers’ licence
• A large percentage of shift work
