Monitor Consulting is an experienced team of business advisory and project delivery specialists dedicated to achieving performance at all levels of your organisation.
Monitor are looking for an experienced Big Data Engineer to join to work in an exciting area.
The SAS platform is used for Fraud detection and Anti-Money Laundering compliance obligations. With SAS being new to the environment, the capability to operate is not yet mature. This is why we are looking for consultants who can drive innovation.
From a technical standpoint, you will ideally have extensive experience in the following:
- Great knowledge of Data and ETL
- Experience with AWS / Azure
- Experience with Scala and Spark
- Experience with programming in Python, R, and Java or equivalent
- Solid Experience with Hadoop, Apache (Saprk, Kafka etc)
- Experience with designing solutions for data acquisition, ingestion, integration, and transformation
Besides the technical buzz, you will have experience in:
- Working in highly client-facing roles and contributing end-to-end delivery life-cycle of complex and large big data lakes
- Worked with and guided clients on the best application of big data solutions tailored to their current situations
- Assessing emerging trends
- Maintenance and communication of current and future architecture
