Job Description
About your new role
We have an awesome opportunity for an exceptional Firewall Architect/Engineer to join us on a permanent basis! This role will be responsible for setting and implementing the firewall architectural direction for a large scale Platform-as-a-Service offering.
Working to the Leidos CTO Group, you will provide the specifications and detailed schematics for our enhanced firewall architecture. You will also provide specific detailed information for hardware and software selection, implementation techniques and tools for the most efficient solution to meet business needs, including present and future capacity requirements.
Your day to day activities will include:
- Maintain technical expertise in all areas of network hardware and software interconnection / interfacing, such as routers, multiplexers, firewalls, hubs, bridges, gateways, etc.
- Evaluates and reports on new communications technologies to enhance capabilities of the network.
- We are looking for an architect who is still willing to get their hands dirty and must be sufficiently versed in Cisco and Palo Alto platforms to undertake configuration and/or R&D work.
About you and what you'll bring
- Demonstarted experience within Network Architecture
- Experience with Cisco and Palo Alto firewall platforms
- 5+ years of network engineering experience in large scale deployments
Qualifications
- Must hold a current NV2 clearance (or NV1 with the ability to recieve NV2)
- Releveant IT degree and network certifications
