Our client, Blast Movement Technologies, has developed a revolutionary technology-based system for open pit mining which is acknowledged as world's best practice and rapidly being adopted around the world as word spreads of their success. Their solution, based on electronic hardware and software technology, is unique and improves mining efficiency and mine revenue. They are now entering a global growth period and are expanding their team to support the demand.
An exciting opportunity to join this award-winning team has arisen. We are looking for an experienced Product Specialist who is passionate about building products that customers love. You will join a dynamic and fast-paced environment and work with cross-functional teams to design, build and roll-out technology products that deliver the company’s vision and strategy. You will be responsible for outward communication of the company strategy and solutions to assist with the international growth targets.
Responsibilities Include:
- Gaining a deep understanding of customer experience, identifying and filling product gaps and generating innovative ideas to grow market share
- Creating buy-in for the product vision
- Assisting with the development of product positioning strategies
- Translating product strategy into detailed requirement specifications
- Scoping and prioritizing product development activities based on business and customer impact
- Working closely with engineering teams to deliver products to market
- Acting as a product evangelist to build awareness and understanding
- Managing the entire product line life cycle from strategic planning to tactical activities
- Developing global launch plans in co-ordination with Sales, R&D, Operations and the Executive Team
- Travelling for presentations, training, tradeshows and events
Required Skills and Experience:
- Significant proven work experience in Product Management in an electronic manufacturing organisation
- Proven track record of managing all aspects of a successful product throughout its lifecycle
- Demonstrated success in developing worldwide product launches
- Experience in writing and presenting a creative briefs or product specifications
- Skilled at working effectively with cross functional teams in a matrix organization
- Previous industry experience in Mining Technology is highly regarded
- A willingness to travel, when needed.
