Our business is growing and we are currently seeking an experienced Radiocommunication Technician to fill a vacancy for upcoming projects.
Job tasks and responsibilities
As the Radiocommunication Technician, your responsibilities will include:
- Installing and maintaining WCDMA/LTE/4G/5G & NBN technologies
- Installation of Radio Base Stations, Terminating Hybrid & Coaxial feeder cables/tails, earthing, cable trays, diplexers & combiners
- Installation of DC Power rack systems including rectifiers, batteries and load testing
- Integration/Commissioning of RBS's into the network. PIM, VSWR, RTWP and Sweep Testing;
- Troubleshooting, replacing defective equipment, fault finding and clearing, site investigation
- Installation of microwave indoor and outdoor units and commissioning;
- Call testing of technologies and uploading of all hand over packs for site completion;
- Installation and termination of Fibres including testing.
- Flexibility to perform rotational call out duties if required
- Flexibility to travel to work sites and work on a DIDO/FIFO as required
Skills and experience
Successful candidates will have the following:
- 3-4 years' work experience within the Telecommunication / Radio-communication industry;
- Bachelor's Degree / Diploma in Telecommunications or Engineering Science or Electronics desirable;
- Recent experience in Huawei and Nokia Flexi BTS installation and Integrations.essential;
- Experience in BBU and ATN integration
- Proven experience in completing handover documentation on site;
- Experience in fault finding;
- Experience in Managed Services
- Familiar with network carriers network management centre protocols
- RF Electromagnetic Radiation Hazard (RADHAZ) Awareness;
- Current Working at Heights / Tower Rescue Ticket;
- Construction White Card;
- Have a current 'Apply First Aid' & CPR certification;
- Be able to provide a police clearance;
- Full Manual Drivers Licence;
