About the role
The Software Development Manager will be responsible for leading the Development teams through entire project lifecycles, from initial concept through to delivery. The individual will have the opportunity to work on a diverse range of projects with scope to innovate across the entire company.
This role with include
- The technical leadership and people management of the software development teams over numerous projects
- Staying at the forefront of the industry by maintaining knowledge of industry-wide IT and security standards and practices along with championing these initiatives
- Managing relationships with vendor relationship including involvement in negotiations and budgeting
- Leading and contributing to the maintenance, improvements and introduction of software development best practices, processes and tools including items such as coding standards, reviews, requirements and gap analysis
- Empowering, guiding and mentoring staff along with the opportunity to recruit and develop your own team
You will have
- Extensive experience in a similar role leading high-performing Agile development teams
- Experience working within a complex and dynamic environment
- A passion for tooling and process automation
- A deep understanding of full-stack development operations and delivery, with an emphasis on API and data centric solutions in retail/financial services
- Experience with public cloud, JIRA, Git, Confluence or similar
- Technical experience in API and big data centric environments
