About the role

  • Provide 1st and 2nd level onsite and remote support for software and operating systems on servers, desktops, laptops and printers.
  • Installation of operating systems, application software and customizations as required on server, desktops, laptop or printer platforms.
  • Installations of desktops, laptops, monitors and printers.
  • Perform backup and restorations on servers as required.
  • Ability to diagnose performance issues on systems.
  • Maintain technical documentation to required levels.
  • Physical installation of servers and network devices into rack units.
  • Perform IT related tasks as guided and instructed.

Skills and experience

  • Hands on experience with Networking and Operating Systems.
  • Knowledge of LAN's at the infrastructure level.
  • Understanding of WAN's concepts at the infrastructure level.
  • PC Hardware / Software experience.

Professional Knowledge:

  • Base technical knowledge of Windows 2008 Server and newer.
  • Sound technical knowledge of Microsoft Windows 7 and Office 2010 and newer.
  • ITIL foundations certificate would be an advantage.
  • MTA Microsoft Technology Associate is preferable.
  • CCNA Networking certificate is preferable.
  • Application support and trouble-shooting methodologies.
