We are seeking an experienced Account Manager to help drive the aggressive growth of the business. They will be largely focused on nurturing and developing strategic accounts to grow satisfaction, technology footprint and profitability, whilst identifying new target accounts in the mid-Enterprise and Enterprise space.The successful candidate will be based in VMtech's Sydney CBD office. This highly visible and impactful role will work in conjunction with the Solution Architect/ Presales team and the Service Delivery team to deliver a consistently high customer experience from initial engagement with customers through to the completion of projects and ongoing Managed Services.

Job tasks and responsibilities

  • Identify and develop relationships with key stakeholders and decision makers, particularly C-Level, within the account to ensure alignment between our organisations.
  • Develop Account plan that includes communication plan and strategic alignment to ensure customer retention and satisfaction
  • Identify and develop new customer relationships across all industry sectors
  • Ensure effective sales activity occurs at all times across prospect and current accounts, ensuring appropriate levels of new business is generated, all sales opportunities are followed up effectively, and day to day account management is pro-active and effective.
  • Develop relationships with vendor and alliance partners to develop acquisition strategies and jointly target prospective accounts
  • Develop strategic relationships across VMtech departments in particular Presales, Marketing, Project Management, Inside Sales, Finance and Service Delivery Management.
  • Prepare fortnightly forecasts for sales reviews with the sales management team and ensure it is delivered with high quality, accuracy in a timely manner.
  • Work closely with Marketing to support and develop marketing campaigns, events and initiatives in your territory
  • Work closely with Inside Sales to develop Account acquisition campaigns

Skills and experience

The ideal candidate will be both a proven "hunter" and "closer" with 5+ years experience within an IT B2B sales role. You will be confident developing relationships both over the phone and at senior executive levels, with a proven track record is driving outcomes ethically, professionally and consultatively. You will posses high levels of initiative and have a positive "can do" attitude. Excellent orgnaizational and time management skills are essential,, as is the abiltiy to work collaboratively across multiple teams and levels of the organization (account managers, technical leaders, vendors, etc).
