My client is a large media company based in the heart of Sydney. They are looking to build a new an exciting team to work on cutting edge technology.

Due to this growth they are looking to take on 2 experienced Devops Engineers (5+ years experience). The right people for the role will have experience working on large complex systems from the ground up, strong communication skills and an eye for detail.


Skills and Experience

• Strong verbal, written and presentation skills with an ability to communicate in both technical and business language
• The ability to plan and prioritise tasks in a high-pressure environment
• Experience demonstrating courage and resilience in the face of ambiguity while showing flexibility and an openness to change
• Strong problem-solving experience with an emerging ability to cut-through complexity, and an ability to think creatively at a tactical level with a keen attention to detail
• Demonstrated experience in delivering end-to-end solutions that integrate with multiple applications and systems (i.e. from architecture/design to release).
• Extensive experience across application architecture and design, development practices such as Design Patterns, Test-Driven Development, and Behaviour-Driven Development
• AWS
• Docker
• Ansible
• Kubernetes

  
Desirable

• 5+ years of experience in digital application design and architecture, and software development methodology and best practices
• Experience with contemporary programming languages and paradigms such as Java and JEE, Ruby on Rails, NodeJs, Microservices, SQL, Python, and shell scripting
• Bachelor or Master Degree in Information Technology, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or relevant field
• AWS Solution Architect Certification
