Program Manager - Test Program
(Solution / Integration / UAT & regression)

ICT leads and manages programs from inception to completion, providing leadership, management, coordination and direction to teams delivering ICT projects and liaises closely with ICT project managers, clients and stakeholders to plan, prioritise and resource the program

The program is responsible for delivering improvements and enhancements to the departments administration and wellbeing systems and delivering a modern data integration platform for third party providers to the department.

Key accountabilities

• Lead and manage the planning and delivery of ICT programs
• Manage team/s to ensure program business objectives are achieved on time and within budget
• Develop and implement program management plans to ensure the success of the program
• Regularly communicate with key stakeholders to ensure program outcomes are met
• Implement change to realise benefits
• Proven ability to structure and manage a program work stream consisting of multiple projects and project managers
• Manage the planning and delivery of complex strategic projects, this must include delivery of software development
• Ability to manage application, data and integration and projects from requirements to successful implementation
• Demonstrated experience in IT transformation projects where standardisation has been required and achieved
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to prepare and present program status reports and communicate project updates to inform decision making at the senior level
• Excellent, mature stakeholder management skills
• Strong release management experience in complex technical environments across multiple test landscapes and phases (i.e. Solution Testing, Integration Testing, Performance testing, User Acceptance Testing and Regression Testing) and into production.
• Manage entire project teams to ensure that the program and project outcomes are achieved

 Requirements

• Persistent, effective problem solver with a mix of analytical and creative thinking
• Experience creating high quality project and program artefacts, within emerging or existing frameworks
• Experience in managing the delivery/build of software and understanding it’s cycles, Agile experience is highly valuable
• Dealt with Vendors, including management of outcomes so as to ensure code defects are managed, good quality software is achieved/delivered to the business
• Experience across software testing (not performing testing) and understanding defect management with testing units and vendor
• Understanding of user acceptance testing (UAT), it’s outcomes and importance
• Demonstrated ability to walk into different organisations and pick up the context of the businesses operating environment. This maybe demonstrated in someone’s’ CV by having successfully managed projects across different/varied subject matter
• Ability to be comfortable having new subject matter thrown at them and the ability to understand it very quickly.
• Advanced Microsoft Word, Excel, MS Project and PowerPoint skills
• Agile and PRINCE2 Methodology certification or equivalent awareness/experience
