My client have an urgent need for an experienced Senior Business Analyst with good Agile project experience, for an initial 6 months to work between two project sites, Parramatta and Wollongong. You can be based at either location and travel to the other site weekly. 

The program will be to create/develop a web application with the possibility of incorporating mobile application development and cloud platform capability. The Project is currently half way through the development of the web application with the fourth major release to take place in the next few weeks. You will be working within a small agile software development team consisting of 6 developers, a test analyst and a project manager. 

You will be working within an agile framework, with the dev team, to write individual user stories that are clear and concise. Once the stories are developed you may be involved in exploratory testing and then the demonstration of the user story to the users.

Skills and experience required : - 

• Demonstrable experience as a Senior Business Analyst in Agile environments
• Must have experience writing User Stories and their acceptance tests, demonstrating software changes, and facilitating workshops
• Demonstrated experience in documenting and modelling business processes (current and future state)
• Experience using static prototypes (eg paper) to enable examination of the viability of a design concept.
• Demonstrated experience in working with a range of stakeholders to document clear and traceable business requirements.
• Demonstrated experience in working on both business and IT projects
• Strong understanding of OCM
• Strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to manage expectations with senior stakeholders
• Solid, relevant, recent knowledge of Agile principles and development practices
• Knowledge of Lean software development principles and practices
• Knowledge of, and/or experience using Design thinking methods
• Experience conducting exploratory tests
