Who are we looking for?
We are looking for a Software Developer who has a degree in computer science or software engineering and possesses 4 to 5 years of commercial software development experience in Australia.
Reporting to the Lead of Health Policy and Claims, this is a permanent position.
Main responsibilities
- Software development in our IBM/Informix/4GL platform
- Analysis of business requirements
- Application maintenance and enhancement
- Testing and documenting
Skills and Experience
- Informix/4GL or DB2/COBOL programming background based on development standards, best practices and information security principles
- SQL queries
- Relational database
- Source control
- Linux/Unix and Windows commands and scripts
- Logical and structured thinking
- Attention to detail
- Ability to learn and grow independently
- Excellent presentation and communication skills both oral and written
- Documentation skills based on modern tools, e.g. Confluence, Jira, Fisheye
- Focus on delivering quality solutions in a timely manner
- Excellent customer facing skills
