About the Role
The Solution Architect is responsible for the architectural design of technology solutions, aligning business requirements to systems/technical requirements, ensuring alignment with agreed enterprise roadmaps. You will be required to drive innovation and agility through the solutions and lead a holistic approach to integrating business and technical change.
This role will work with a range of stakeholders in the business and vendors to deliver significant transformation benefits. Ideally, you have experience across a range of ERP, as well as Information and integration experience in a large-scale environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead a dialogue about design options, identify and design innovative solutions that meet business needs;
- Influence and negotiate with key stakeholders to ensure the best technical fit and cost effective solutions are implemented;
- Champion the use of agile and innovative approaches to solution design, delivery and implementation;
- Create, design and review solution architecture documents;
- Provide expert technical advice on the establishment and maintenance of a robust, innovative and scalable IT architecture to meet the strategic goals of the organisation
- Influence functional teams in IT and business, show were capabilities, resources and skills need to be changed or improved; and
- Participate in architecture governance processes from a solution architecture perspective.
Skills and Experience
- 5+ years in a similar Solution Architecture role;
- Demonstrated experience in successfully influencing and negotiating with stakeholders to achieve goals and compromise while maintaining positive relationships;
- Experience in similar, large-scale Solution Architecture role;
- Experience working across multiple platforms and technologies;
- Proven ability to design and implement scalable digital solutions using agile approaches;
- Experience in architecting and deploying web-based and web-enabled business applications, and cloud-based architectures and roadmaps;
- Understanding of Agile methodologies;
- Health experience would be advantageous; and
- Understanding of enterprise architecture methodologies/ frameworks.
