Key Responsibilities:
- Developing architectural standards and patterns
- Developing the project architectural overlays including template for security deliverables
- Developing the documented security architecture for the environment including cloud.
- Reviewing all existing security technology such as firewalls, web proxies etc and developing the roadmap for the technologies including potential replacement or change in use of the technologies. This will include market scans, engaging with vendors to evaluate product appropriateness and providing sufficient information to develop business cases to implement the roadmap and security strategy.
- Engage with projects to provide security specific advice as and solution architecture input to the solution architects or tech leads of the project. i.e. design specific security controls for the solution.
- Manage the practice of security architecture to ensure that any other security architects follow the business standards and processes and any output from the architects feed into our overall Security Architecture.
Key Requirements:
- Working knowledge of international security and risk-related standards or frameworks, including SABSA, TOGAF, ISO-27000 series, CISSP, CISM, 4360
- Expert knowledge in the areas of security architecture & security infrastructure
- Broad knowledge, confidence and experience of project delivery and cyber security
- Passionate around security
- Excellent stakeholder management and vendor management
- Ability to work with C suite executive to get results
