The Role:

The role of the SE Developer works across multiple projects and would be an integral part of our talented Customer Asset team in CDTO, whose vision is providing customer single view and solutions to enable business to make informed decisions. You will be involved in the next generation of Customer Master Data Management technology as part of enabling Marketplace strategy in Suncorp Group.

Key Responsibilities:

• Work closely with Tech Leads to drive the strategic technical direction within the team and to uplift capability of other team members.
• Define software quality practices and improve development processes.
• Support the strong automation and self-service strategy by driving automation practices within the team.
• Applying significant knowledge of industry trends and developments for continuous improvement.
• Contribute to on-call and out of hours activities as reasonably agreed in advance.
• Utilise agile methodologies and XP techniques where appropriate in your work.
• Take responsibility for the quality and timeliness of the team’s deliverables.
• Provide timely and effective advice on progress and ability to meet service and solution deliverables within agreed expectations.

Skills & Experience:

• Extensive Java and Spring Framework experience
• Experience with Spring Boot would be advantageous
• Experience with Master Data Management solutions including IBM Standard/Advanced edition would be highly advantageous
• Strong understanding of best practice standards and design patterns
• Fluent with relational databases and ORM technologies
• Proficient in designing, developing and integrating with REST APIs
• Experience with test automation
• Knowledge and experience with CI/CD practices and processes
