Our client is a leading financial services organisation that provides a wide and diverse offering in the Australian market. They have a highly regarded name based on their current work, professional culture and progressive growth strategies. Due to an ever increasing project pipeline they are looking for a technical business analyst with extensive trading experience and a good grasp of regulatory reform
Following the introduction of the Dodd Frank legislation which increases government oversight of derivatives trading by Financial Institutions, a range of complex requirements have hit the OTC Derivatives IT team of my client which has resulted in the initiation of numerous greenfield projects to ensure the existing systems are compliant with this regulatory reform.
The Business Analyst role is heavily delivery focused; working with internal stakeholders, Architects, Software Engineers and Test Teams. You will facilitate the ongoing development of a strategic regulatory reporting solution in the OTC Derivatives Trading space. Working in an agile environment, you will utilize your extensive financial product knowledge and understanding of front to back trading environments from execution to settlements. You will be expected to produce highly technical documentation and integration requirements between a multitude of trade storage systems and downstream processing situations.
Responsibilities of the role:
- Primary responsibilities will relate to the completion of a robust framework to ensure OTC Reform obligations around client static data are met. This includes:
- End to End implementation of required changes in regulatory reporting solution.
- Detailed documentation of processes and procedures
- Implementing future static data requirements as required
- Solid business acumen - experience with a Financial Markets business
- Prior OTC reform experience
- Experience of regulatory reporting.
- Solid numerical / analytical and accuracy
- Communication - strong written & oral competency required
- Customer service orientation
- Planning and Organisation/Work mgt
