Reporting to the CTO, you will have the reins to drive quality in the delivery of our solution to the market.

You will be responsible for:

• Planning and execution of the entire business testing strategy and quality assurance using our Agile methodology;
• Providing input on the enhancement of effective test suites and infrastructure, with an emphasis on both functional and non-functional testing including automation;
• In addition to the usual technical competencies of a senior testing role; leadership, coaching and mentorship of a small team of testers, as well as stakeholder management are also key factors to success in this role; and
• Working with the CTO, CUXI, Product Owner, Scrum Master and the wider business to deliver the best processes to allow for repeatable work patterns under a two-week sprint cycle.

the person

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• 8+ years of experience working in and leading a software delivery team with a strong focus on integration / testing in a SOA architecture;
• 3+ years of Agile software testing experience;
• Tertiary qualifications in Computer Science or relevant IT certification;
• Strong hands on analytical testing experience of web applications, API's, windows applications as well as persistence stores / database (both manual and automation);
• A strong background in leadership, coaching and relationship management that will benefit both the QA and IT team as well as more broadly across Tic:Toc;
• Ability to work with a team orientation, or autonomously as appropriate;
• Experience with testing related tools and systems such as: Jira, Confluence, Adaptavist, Selenium, LoadRunner, Test Complete etc;
• Experience with SOA and delivery of services via web technologies (REST, SOAP etc);
• Excellent technical, written, and verbal interpersonal communication skills, with a positive attitude and enthusiasm for continuous improvement;
• Self-motivated, and will be proactive with demonstrated ability to set priorities and meet deadlines;
• Experience with working within an Agile start-up / FinTech environment would be highly regarded, and
• Exposure to the Financial Services industry and origination systems will be highly regarded.
