Immediate and urgent requirement for a DevOps Engineer (Chef) for a long term contract in Sydney.

PR/ Citizens will be considered.

Must Haves

• Experience in Configuration management using CHEF, desirable min experience 2-3 years
• Build on-premises and cloud based infrastructure using configuration management, automation and continuous integration.
• Programming/Scripting experience in any of Bash, PowerShell, Perl, Ruby, Python
• Problem solving and root cause analysis over a wide range of systems
• Follows change management and incident management processes to ensure service continuity and KPIs are met
• Assist in defining DevOps methodologies and standards
• Experience and knowledge of source control (BitBucket & Git preferred), test, integration, build and deployment tools.
• Experience and knowledge of Continuous integration and automated build pipelines such as Jenkins and Bamboo
• Interact with software engineers, database administrators, architects, technology operations staff and third-party vendors, to promote DevOps methodologies and industry best practices.

Good to Have

• Middleware such as WebSphere Application Server, MQ, IIB, DataPower, SQL, Oracle -
• Ensures middleware and infrastructure complies with defined standards, policies and legislation with regard to auditing, information security, data protection and privacy
• Provision enterprise middleware platforms using state of the art technologies and cutting-edge system automation.
• Provisioning on Windows, AIX, Linux
