The Company

This global Pre-IPO Information Security vendor is experiencing strong success globally and due to this, they are in need of a Business Development Executive to join the team.  Based in Melbourne, this individual will focus on the ANZ region and will be the cornerstone BDR hire for the organization.  
  
Duties and Responsibilities

The Business Development Representative is responsible for identifying and qualifying sales opportunities for the organization. There will be plenty of leads provided however there will be various other marketing activities, outbound calling and e-mailing to be done. This is really a phenomenal role to build a solid foundation for a highly successful career in IT Sales.

Other responsibilities include:
  • Relationship building with internally with Field and Sales engineer teams
  • Capitalize on leads and contacts to evangelize solutions right throughout the marketplace
  • Develop outbound contact with key target prospects via the phone, email, LinkedIn etc
  • Learn and become an expert in all the tools required, CRM, scripts, WebEx, product demos
  • Partner heavily with marketing to drive lead generation campaigns for strong results locally
  • Deliver a consistent set of qualified meetings for the Field Sales teams
 
 
Skills and Experience Needed
  • 1-3 years of Phone Selling Experience (IT and or IT Security experience a plus)
  • History of cold calling and appointment setting/ lead generation
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
  • Be a team player, yet be a self-starter that can work autonomously as well
  • Strong time management skills and the ability to work a plan
  • Goal orientated and target focused; highly driven individual.
  Salary
  • Package of $70K base + super and commission on offer to the right candidate (neg depending on experience)
