You are constantly reading that there is a skills shortage within the Information Security market but can't understand it. You have been trying every avenue to get your foot in the door, you wonder how is the shortage meant to be solved if the barrier to entry is so difficult?

You will have a natural curiosity, won't be afraid to roll up your sleeves and it goes without saying you will need bags of enthusiasm to learn new technologies but also not shy away from generating high-quality written work.

You have a varied technical background, you are comfortable across both Windows and Linux platforms, Networking, and you can script a little. You know how things work, you know what subnetting and addressing is, you know where to place blockers on network traffic and you have played around with different IS tools.

You'll be joining a Security Operations team supporting the internal customers base, ensuring incidents and contained, resolved and reported on.

A solid base understanding of the Security industry is essential. Whether you have completed a few SANS courses, understand the Cyber Kill Chain, completed a few CTF's or completed a Security degree, we need to see some evidence.
