The Role

As the Change Manager you will bring a strong digital and customer focus to Discovery Holiday Parks to support the business through significant and complex change. Reporting to the Senior Change Manager, you will bring a structured, practical and growth mindset, with the ability to achieve high value customer-centric outcomes.

You will draw upon your knowledge, understanding and experience applying common change management methodologies to deliver successful change management of key projects. Utilising your skills and experience in design, delivery and management of actionable and targeted change management activities are critical to the roles success. You will have experience designing and interpreting business impact and readiness assessments and stakeholder analysis to monitor stakeholder preparedness, adoption progress and inform overall change success. You will engage closely with lean change management cycles inspired by applying agile and lean start up principles to change.

The role is challenging and will require resilience, focus and strategic thinking to adapt quickly to change management plans. You will collaborate with the business to design detailed and effective planning activities, combined with hands-on execution of change management initiatives. This should occur with minimal impact and disruption to our people and the day to day business operations across all Parks, whilst ensuring the business units are informed and engaged throughout the change management process.

This role requires you to be highly visible across the business and is a critical part of the team to support outcomes within the IT project roadmap. You will be a highly efficient and effective communicator with the confidence to work with all levels of stakeholders. You will be required to develop training and coaching plans, determine employee training needs and manage progress against these plans.

You will have confidence engaging with senior managers to enable greater delivery of customer value through effective change management. You will actively promote and engender trust and close co-operation between the business and technology to promote ongoing visibility.

The Change Manager will require effective business collaboration and deep engagement with impacted stakeholders to enable new ways to be embraced, adopted and utilised. You will collaborate with the business to draft communication events, design, implement and report results from stakeholder surveys and the ability to monitor and report these communications effectively. The Change Manager will also provide regular and meaningful reports on the delivery of change management plans.

Your experience

Tertiary qualifications in a relevant field and relevant experience of successful change initiatives. Change Management accreditation (e.g. Prosci or similar) and working effectively in both waterfall and agile delivery teams is highly desirable. This role will suit an emerging and talented Change Manager with knowledge and experience in digital transformation projects.

Experience of how people go through a change and the change process, including facilitating the 'people side' of change management is highly desirable, where significant changes have transformed people’s way of working. This includes effectively implementing changes to business processes, systems and technology.

Demonstrated knowledge and experience using change management frameworks/models and agile methodologies, together with your ability to drive faster adoption and higher utilisation of projects that impact the business to increase benefits realisation, value creation, ROI and achieve results and outcomes.

The role will suit a highly motivated and accomplished individual, who prides themselves on their creative, design led, 'hands on' approach and their natural ability to foster relationships through collaboration and building high levels of trust and credibility. You must possess exceptional written communication skills and highly developed oral presentation skills and proven experience supporting the design, development, delivery and management of communications.

A high level of motivation, intelligence and strong agile mindset is essential as is your excellent interpersonal skills, including experience coaching, collaborating and team building. You will develop strong relationships and high levels of trust and credibility amongst your peers and throughout the business.
